Himalayan Boot Camp Anyone?
The Himalayan Mountains remain to many people as a far off destination that is remote, for hard core trekkers who go off for weeks at a time, a place that most people would love to visit, an imagined splendor that is never really planned for.
For most of us, our lives are consumed with email, conference calls, meetings, cell phone that never stopped ringing, callers who never seemed to know the boundaries of personal time, other demands of a fast moving career. Add to this the responsibilities of juggling a family and personal needs and you can see where this is going.
So imagine an escape for one to two weeks to a wellness vacation, a mind-body-spirit adventure and experience that includes hikes and mountain treks among these amazing Himalayan mountains and surrounding valleys while coming back to comfort and luxury at the end of the day.
Imagine accommodations at a beautiful 1600 acre tea plantation in English style bungalows with beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga Mountain Range, the third highest peak in the world. A place where you can immerse yourself in meditation and yoga while you overlook the beautiful valley as you revive, rejuvenate and restore your tired self. Add to this, opportunities to meet the diverse people of the region, eat fresh foods and home grown vegetables and dine on elaborate multi course dinners of local Indian, Tibetan and Nepali cuisine.
Well, for one week there will be 7 of us who will be living this experience in Oct. Coming from all different parts of the United States, we hope to unwind, de-stress, meditate, relax, hike, eat great food and feel at one with beautiful nature while experiencing absolute indulgence of the mind and spirit among these majestic and almost sacred surroundings.
So if you are interested in finding out what we are doing, be sure to check back as I hope to be blogging and adding videos on an almost daily basis to this site while we are on location in the beautiful Himalayan foothills of India! Can’t wait to get there!
